Yesterday Marcel and I took a bag full of groceries, drove to Heemstede and prepared dinner (well, Marcel did) for the friend who just heard bad news: cancer. She has to wait for the test results to know how bad it really is, but it has a terrible impact already. Imagine hearing you've got cancer and having to wait three to four weeks for those test results. Doesn't make for easy nights, that's for sure. A good evening anyway, talking and laughing. Burn a candle for luck..
Two critics have read my new introduction and both were positive, so that's good news. Will wait for some final remarks and then use it for networking purposes. In the mean time trying to find a way to get into the Harvard libraries. Not that easy, it seems, without a letter of recommendation. But there must be a way to get one.
